My Future My Way
The CTE Department welcomed every eighth grader in GPISD to the My Future My Way event on Thursday. Students had the opportunity to explore careers that interested them, talk to industry professionals about career options and CTE teachers about the pathways available in GPISD. Teachers from all 27 pathways offered in GPISD were represented. CTE Executive Director Winston Minix and his staff thank all the middle school teachers and counselors for their help in making this a great day for students.

Garner Peer-to-Peer Career Fair
GFAA fourth grade students had a blast presenting at a peer-to-peer career fair. The fourth graders used Career Cruising to research and present different occupations. GFAA first grade attended the fair and loved listening to the big kids.
GPFAA Kickoff GenTX Week
The GPFAA counselors welcomed The Boston Conservatory to kickoff GenTX Week. They also had a college rally with the class of 2018 to get the students excited about going to college and used Career Cruising with the eighth graders.
