Austin Black History Program

Awesome Austin had a wonderful Black History program. The theme for the program was "Love Not Hate" to coincide with the counselor's guidance curriculum. Program line up included recognition of students of character, career awareness poster contestants and winners. Also there was a fashion show representing different parts of Africa, and important cultural and historical information provided by the Leadership Through Kindness Club. In addition, the counselor Tonya Womack Campbell and the community liaison perfomed a skit highlighting the accomplishments of African Americans. Finally, birthdays in February were honored and recognized.
