GPISD Counselors Doing Great Things

Florence Hill Job Shadowing

Florence Hill Elementary students had a wonderful time on Job Shadowing Day. After the students applied, interviewed and were selected by a committee, they had the opportunity to shadow the principals, counselor, music, PE, and art teachers. One student also chose to shadow her former 3rd grade teacher. They did a great job.

Whitt Job Shadowing Day

Even though our Job Shadowing Day was Tuesday, May 16, it is still leaving a lasting impression in the minds of many. Great job, Whitt FAA Job Shadowing recipients/staff.

Newcomer Graduates

Adams Middle School counselor (former Lee Middle School and Fannin Middle School Newcomer teacher) graduates her first Newcomer student, Tamara Akramawi, from Young Women's Leadership Academy.

Lee Elementary Principal for a Day
Stephanie Martinez was chosen out of several applicants to be principal of Lee Elementary for a day. She was given several tasks to complete such as hall duty, lunch duty, helping the office, and monitoring the awards ceremonies. She did an awesome job, and we are very proud of all her hard work and dedication. Way to go, Steph!
