Giving Back


Bonham school counselor and staff had another successful food drive. Donations go back to our GPISD families! 

With the help of Ms. Heckert's grant-writing skills, Gerardo Hernandez,GPFAA counselor, was awarded a mini grant. GPFAA Counseling Department will use this to buy a Buddy Bench to promote inclusion and kindness. Great work, Mr. Hernandez!


The 5th graders at Rayburn STEAM Academy researched a chosen career and created posters to present to all the other grade levels. They did a phenomenal job!

 The Social Work Hub would like to send an enormous thank you toAdamsAustinCrosswindsDickinsonEisenhowerFannin,GarnerGrand Prairie Fine Arts Academy,  Grand Prairie High SchoolMoseleySouth Grand Prairie High SchoolYoung Women's Leadership Academy and all of the GPISD counselors and social workers for working together to provide Thanksgiving dinners to almost 200 GPISD families in need! 

 Moseley's Kindness Crew and Student Council are hard at work sorting donations received for our hygiene drive.  Thank you, Moseley parents and students, for another successful donation drive.  You are the best!

 Janeth Ramirez, social worker at DATA@John Adams MS,taught students about suicide prevention.

 Moseley's fourth and fifth graders participated in this year's peer-to-peer career fair.  The students did an outstanding job presenting their prospective careers to students in kinder through third grade

Mrs. Burton-Johnson and Mrs. Soliz, counselors at DATA@Adams MS, partnered with Omega Psi Phi and Delta Sigma Theta on a turkey give-away for Thanksgiving.
