GPISD Counseling Services Rocks!!!

School Counselor Mrs. Swanigan from Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute would like to send shout-outs to Makayla on her acceptance letter to Baylor, Sam who just interviewed for Harvard, and good luck wishes to Benaiah who will be interviewing with Harvard University next week for their #1 ranked program in the country. These seniors are unstoppable.

Garcia Elementary's counselor, teachers and students collected over 400 hygiene items to donate to our Social Worker Hub for our GPISD families in need.

De Zavala Counselors Nedin Glover and Evetta McGriff ate lunch on the cafeteria stage with kindergarten and 5th grade students Thursday for their monthly character recognition. These students were recognized for displaying kindness to others.
Counselors at De Zavala, Nedin Glover and Evetta McGriff, encouraged students throughout the month of November to think about their future careers and display their desires on their career poster.  Congratulations to these students. They were the grade-level winners for the "Careers are Everywhere" poster contest.
