November and December Girls of the Month
On January 13, our local Grand Prairie Soroptimist Club honored our November and December Girls of the Month. It was a joy to see grandparents and parents present to help us honor their students. A huge thanks to the ladies of the Soroptimist Club for their dedication to GPISD. Students in attendance were: Amy Kane, Citlalli Escobar, Stephanie Guzman, Victoria Inope, Maddy Lievrouw, Bryleigh Liles, and Bailee Smith.

Eisenhower Career Day
We had some wonderful presenters at the Eisenhower Career Day. The administrators, teachers, staff, and students loved the great presentations that we heard from community members.
Lee Career Day
The students at Lee were engaged in hearing from a variety of guests, sharing their keys to making their career a success. The careers included mechanic, family specialist, city manager, banker, marketing director, 97.9 The Beat radio DJ, entrepreneur, graphic artist, environmental specialist, and detention officer.
Moseley Career Day
Moseley students had a great time participating in this year's Career Day. Presenters from Tarrant County College-South Campus, Dallas Behavioral Healthcare, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Southeast Fort Worth, Inc., Edward Jones, Frito Lay, Cook's Children Healthcare System, DeSoto ISD and the Grand Prairie Police Department shared their expertise in their respective fields.
Adams Handprints on Hearts
Adams Middle School counselors host a Handprints on Hearts mentoring breakfast. Studies have shown that mentoring enhances student achievement. Special thanks to GPISD Counseling Services for sponsoring the event.
