National School Counseling Week

SGP loves our counselors! Happy National Counselors Week.
My counselor taught me . . .  Video

Students at Travis World Language Academy started out the week by writing “Sweet Words” to their peers and staff members as they recognize the importance of just “Being Kind” and recognizing the important work and contributions from their school counselors.

100th Day Donations - The students and staff at Powell Elementarypartnered with LifeLine Shelter for the 100th day of school.  The school counselor, Mrs. Meeks, contacted LifeLine to find out some of the needs they have, and then each grade level was challenged to collect at least 100 of the items assigned to them.  We donated:
217 rolls of toilet paper
94 paper towel rolls
114 tissue boxes
225 bars of soap
117 deodorants
108 shampoo bottles
The generosity and caring spirit of the staff, students, and families at Powell never ceases to amaze Mrs. Meeks.

Crosswinds Kindness Crew handed out hearts with dating violence awareness contact information. #BeKindGPISD #positiverelationships #counselorssupport

The GPFAA social worker, Alex Anderson, led the Kindness Crew in hanging fresh signs to remind all students to Be Kind.

The counselor at Garcia Elementary kicked off National School Counseling Week with Post-Its to say thank you to our teachers for sticking by our students.
