From Cradle to Career



The Rayburn Kindness & Compassion Club decided to do an outdoor school clean up. They were so excited to pick up trash, one would think it was an Easter egg hunt.


Rayburn Career Fair

Rayburn 5th grade learned valuable life lessons and career opportunities from many different, interesting individuals. Thank you to the speakers, the counselor Mrs. Maples, and everyone who had a part in putting together this wonderful Career Fair. 


Williams Career Day

The counselor Tonya Womack Campbell promotes career exploration and college readiness from Pre-K to 12th grade (From the Cradle to Career). Wonderful Williams hosted a Professional Career Fair.  Presenters included:
Kevin Locks - personal trainer with Camp Gladiator
Hope Williams Bowie - Fitness Instructor and owner of Hope2bfit
Devon Scott - martial arts instructor/Dojo owner/Martial Arts School of Enlightenment 
Beth with Big D's Cupcakes - baker
Tim Costello - announcer/broadcaster with Texas Air Hogs
Lemarcus Campbell - automotive service manager NTB/owner of Campbell Automotive Repair 
Maribel Garza - cosmetologist 

Florence Hill Career Day
Career Day at Florence Hill was a great success. Thank you to our presenters for supporting cradle to career and helping our students think about the future.

Powell Career Day

Powell Elementary had a great Career Day on February 26. K-5 students enjoyed hearing about various careers throughout the day. Counselor Mrs. Meeks was happy to schedule this day so students could learn about these different careers.

Jackson Visits De Zavala
Jackson counselors, principal, Fine Arts Department and clubs visited De Zavala's 5th graders. They presented the many programs that make Jackson an outstanding school and program of choice. The students of De Zavala enjoyed seeing what middle school has in store for them.

Garcia Elementary Career Day
At Garcia's annual Career Day, students learned from a variety of careers: a pilot, mayor assistant, zookeeper, pet groomer, firemen, and policemen. Thank you Mrs. Bejarano, school counselor, and Mrs. Dombroski, teacher, for a successful Career Day.
