Rebekah Swaim Wins in Austin
The GPISD Counseling Services team is very proud of our teammate Rebekah Swaim, Early Childhood Development Specialist. She received an award at the 2018 School Social Workers Conference in Austin for the outstanding support she provides students, school counselors, and campus staff.
Williams Retreat for Parents
The counselor Tonya Womack Campbell and community liaison Rosanelda Foo hosted a Retreat for Parents. Parents learned how to identify, monitor, and manage stress. Vendors from Parkland, Amerigroup and Zermat were all on site to provide services for parents. Students from Hobbs Williams also taught parents how to use deep-belly breathing and positive self talk to stay calm. Parents were also able to produce original art pieces to take with them. Go, Wolves!
Moore Career Day
Sallye Moore College and Career Prep hosted its annual Career Day. Our guest speakers provided information from a variety of career paths.
