GPISD Counselors ROCK!


Adams Middle School students from a few of the elective groups rotated through Lee's 5th-grade classrooms so the students could see some of the electives offered at middle school up close and personal. 


Seguin Hosts Public Service Career Day 

Seguin Elementary School hosted a Public Service Career Day. Guest speakers included Mayor Ron Jenson, City Council Members Jorja Clemson and Mike Del Bosque, GPPD, GPFD, members of different departments of the City of Grand Prairie, and even Epic Waters.


Jackson Learns about Safe Driving 
Mark Johnson, GPISD's Drug Prevention and Intervention Counselor, teamed up with Jackson's counselors to host Baylor Scott & White's RED program. Students received a valuable opportunity to learn firsthand about the dangers of alcohol in a safe and engaging way.


February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month
Teen dating violence may be prevented, especially when there is a focus on reducing risk factors as well as fostering protective factors, and when teens are empowered through family, friends, and others (including role models such as teachers, coaches, mentors, and youth group leaders) to lead healthy lives and establish healthy relationships.
